How do I check out a course reserve item?
Answer:
Course Reserves are instructor assigned materials held in the UO Libraries for easy student access and have shortened loan periods to facilitate equitable use. Course Reserves include library- and instructor-owned books, videos, audio recordings, and other materials that support instruction. You can search our course reserve holdings online via this link: https://library.uoregon.edu/access-services/course-reserves.
You can use a keyword, a book title, or even your instructor's last name to find materials for your class. All of these items are held at the Checkout & Reserves desk. To check out these items, bring your current UO ID (or photo ID) to the desk and library staff will retrieve the items for you. If the time limitations for checkout act as a barrier, we also provide free scanners where you can scan a chapter or two for use after you've returned the item.
