Chicago style papers use either Notes-Bibliography or Author-Date reference systems. Check which version your instructor requires.
Notes-Bibliography
Uses in-text superscript numbers that correspond to footnotes or endnotes sections in the paper.
In the bibliography, entries are listed by author in last-name, first-name order and the main elements of the citation are separated by periods.
Author-Date
In-text citations povide the author's last name, publication year, and page number in parenthesis: (Smith, 2019, 10).
Bibliography items are presented in alphabetical order by the first author's last name, or, if no author is listed, by the first element of the citation (generally the title).
Use hanging indents.
