How do I find Harvard Business Review Articles?

How do I find Harvard Business Review Articles?

Answer:

The UO Libraries provide access to Harvard Business Review (HBR) via Business Source Complete; however, due to Harvard Business Press restrictions, accessing articles requires a special process.

Follow these instructions to access HBR articles electronically:

  1. Go to Business Source Complete.
  2. In the first blank search box, enter "Harvard Business Review."
  3. Paste the article title into the second blank search field and use "Select a Field" to select "TI Title."
    1. This will probably be all you need to locate the article, but if you're having difficulties, add Step 4 to the search.
  4. Optional: Enter the author's last name in the last blank search field.
An example of a search in Business Source Complete for an article from the Harvard Business Review. "Harvard Business Review" is in the first search box, the title of the article, "Using the balanced scorecard," is in the second box, and the author name Kaplan is in the last search box.
  5. Click the "Search" button.
    1. Your article should be the first or second entry in the resulting list.
  6. Use the "PDF Full Text" option to save, read online, or print.

NOTE: Harvard Business Review articles are different than Harvard Case Studies, so you may want to double-check what you're looking for.
