What software is available on the computers in the libraries?

Answer:

There are two kinds of computers in UO Libraries: ones that require a UO DuckID to login and ones that can be used by non-UO members of the community.

The computers that don't require a DuckID only have internet browsers; they do not have additional software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, R, or SPSS. If you need to work on a document on the public computers, we suggest using Google Docs.

The computers that require a DuckID have an extensive list of software installed including the software installed in all UO Computer Labs.

Some libraries have additional specialized software installed on their computers:

  • Knight Library Learning Commons
  • Knight Library Douglass Room
  • PSC
  • Design
    • Design Library computers also support Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit software

Additional software can be used on the campus Virtual Computer Lab.
